Men and #Metoo
March 8 @ 5:00 pm - March 10 @ 2:00 pm
What does it mean to be a man in the #metoo era? What is being asked of us, and what is an authentic response? How do we honour the female experience articulated by #metoo, and learn to see our own oppression, suffering and wounding? Can women and men co-exist ‘both-and’? Can men and women work together to build something new? If so how do we, as men, prepare ourselves to fully show up, and meet our sisters on that ground of courageous truth and authentic reconciliation?
Some of you will know Dave Bingham through his Nature-reconnection work with WildEarth, and more recently, his collaboration with Madeline Lenagh to create The Three Tents: a program that brings together men and women who are doing their inner work, to seek breakthroughs in understanding and mutual healing. We’re more than delighted that he has agreed to come down from Scotland to facilitate this weekend for us.
The Llansor weekend will function as both a stand-alone program in its own right and also as a preparation for the next 5-day Three Tents event he and Madeline will facilitate in the Scottish Borders in May, where men and women will sit in Council together and tell their stories, hearing and being heard. But for now, join your fellow men in a shared exploration of the experience of being the male expression of the species: share stories, silence, laughter, beer / non-alcoholic equivalent, and the wisdom of your fellow-travellers.Suggested donation 2019 for this men's weekend event (inc. £15 facilitator expenses)
